Ornithomimus is the eponymous ornithomimosaur — a superficially ostrich-like, toothless theropod from the Late Cretaceous of western North America. Represented by many excellent specimens, including fossils that preserve impressions showing Ornithomimus bore fur-like feathers on its body, including wing-like structures on the arms of adults. Since the wings don’t appear to be aerodynamic, and don’t appear until adulthood, they were likely used for some combination of display and/or nesting brooding.
