Saurornitholestes was a dromaeosaurid (small-to-medium, sickle-clawed predatory theropods) from the Late Cretaceous of western North America. Saurornitholestes was a lightly built, agile hunter. It lived alongside Bambiraptor, who is similar enough that some have suggested the two might be the same species, although that is not currently the consensus view.
