Prenoceratops was a small leptoceratopsid, one of the late-surviving but seemingly primitive horned dinosaurs. Hanging out in the Late Cretaceous of Montana, it would have shared its environment with more “traditional” ceratopsians like Styracosaurus and Einiosaurus. Prenoceratops had a low, beaked skull and a short frill, and could probably deliver a wicked bite when facing off with a predator.
