Prenocephale was a dome-headed pachycephalosaur from the Late Cretaceous of Mongolia. Like most pachycephalosaurs, it was modest in size (2.5 m / 8 feet in length), probably weighing about as much as a large dog. Their domed heads are presumed to have been used in some combination of display, combat and defense - whether combat meant head-to-head collisions, as in bighorn sheep, or aiming at the sides and legs of an opponent, is still a subject of debate.
