A freshwater baenid turtle of Late Cretaceous North America. Baenids have only been found (so far) in North America, existing from the Early Cretaceous through the K/Pg extinction into the Eocene. Boremys can be distinguished by uniquely sculptured shell bones and extra rows of small scutes around the edge of the carapace.
